Inspired by a Pinterest posting and combined with my own more classic pot roast recipe... This not your average pot roast has a deep rich full flavor and yet just enough zest to it to balance it out and keep your taste buds interested bite after bite.
What you need:
A Beef Roast, choose the size and type right for your family- or whatever's on sale is how I choose mine
1/2 yellow onion sliced
1 packet Au Jus Gravy Mix
1/2 packet Ranch Dressing Mix
Approx 7 Pepperoncinis
1 stick of Butter
Garlic Salt and pepper
Layer your ingredients into the crockpot starting with your onion on the bottom, beef, season with garlic salt and pepper, sprinkle with Au Jus Mix, Ranch Mix, and top with Pepperoncinis and finally the stick of butter. Do not add any water. If you want to add baby red potatoes around your meat they turn out wonderful too! Turn your crockpot on low for 6 hours and dinner is ready!
Easy and delicious!
I am so excited to try this!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy add butter,?
ReplyDeleteYou’re not adding water, it’s cooking in its own juices and the butter keeps it moist and flavorful. You’re basically creating a gravy.
ReplyDeleteI made this recipe but I used onion soup instead of Aujuis, it was delicious.I also didnt use the peppers.Cant wait to make it again, yummy.
ReplyDeleteThis is the best roast ever!
ReplyDeleteCan I use a pork roast?

ReplyDeleteThis roast is fabulous! I have made it numerous times with mashed potatoes. In fact, I plan on serving it this week for my card club friends. I hope they like it as much as my family does.
ReplyDeleteDo you sear the roast before putting it in the crockpot.
