Beef Stroganoff

I'm not sure how you are supposed to make beef stroganoff but this is how I like it. It's tasty and comforting and cooks up quickly. One of my go to meals.

What you need:
1 lb beef stew meat, pieces sliced thinly
1/2 cup diced yellow onion
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 tbl butter
1 tbl olive oil
Garlic salt and pepper
1 tbl BBQ sauce
2 tbl ketchup
1 cup beef broth
1/4 cup water
2 tbl flour
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tbl ranch dressing powder mix
Egg noodles, cooked

In a large skillet, over medium heat, warm butter and olive oil. Sauté meat, garlic and onions, seasoned with garlic salt and pepper. When most of the pink is gone add ketchup, BBQ sauce, and beef broth to pan and let simmer for 5-10 minutes. In a small jar or container mix flour and water (I just shake it up), the creates a slurry, or the thickener for the sauce. Pour into meat mixture and stir immediately. Cook another 2 minutes and then remove from heat. Stir in sour cream and dry ranch mix.

Serve over egg noodles.
