Definitely a party and pot luck favorite!!
You need - 1 Can of Refried Beans - 1 or 2 Avocado - 1 Cup Sour Cream (I use light) - Salsa (I use Pace Medium) - Shredded Cheese (about a cup or more if you like more) - Sliced Black Olives to top - Garlic Salt - 2 Tbsp Taco Seasoning - 2 Tbsp Mayo - you can also add other toppings like chopped tomatoes, sliced green onions or chopped yellow onions, diced green chilies, or whatever your favorites are.
Build your dip.. spread the beans on the bottom of your dish, season lightly with garlic salt and pepper.
Scoop avocado into a bowl, season lightly with garlic salt and use fork or knife to smash it as chunky or as smooth as you like it. Spread on top of the bean layer.
Mix sour cream, mayo and taco seasoning. (Mayo sounds strange but it makes this dip stand out.) Spread on top of avocado layer. (This also helps the avocado from turning brown by having the sour cream on top of it).
Spoon out some salsa (about a half cup to start) and spread out over sour cream layer.
Sprinkle shredded cheese over the salsa layer and finally top with sliced olives.
Enjoy with your favorite corn chips.
