Dutch Baby Breakfast

I remember making this breakfast as a treat with my Dad when I was a kid. I also remember it was one of the things I made in the cooking class I took in middle school so long ago.

It's not common but it is a delicious breakfast or brunch treat! I like to keep it simple and serve it drizzled with lemon juice or orange juice and powdered sugar but you can also top it with canned pie fillings like apple, blueberry, or cherry for it to be extra special.

Just a few ingredients and and in less than 30 minutes you have a new breakfast fave!

What you need:
4 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
5 tblsp butter

Preheat your oven to 425. In a skillet or Dutch oven add the butter to the pan and place in the oven as it preheats.

In a blender add eggs, milk and flour. Blend for 30 seconds.

Once the butter in the pan has melted and starting to bubble, carefully pour the blender batter mixture in to the pan while in the oven and then close the oven door. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the sides get puffy and it starts to brown.

Remove from the oven and cut like a pie to serve with your topping of choice. Note: it does deflate a little after you cut into it.
