Quick Tip: Storing Sauces

Whether it's from a jar or you made it from scratch, what do you do with the container of left over sauce sitting in your fridge? You don't really want to throw it out but are you going to use it in the next couple of days?

Freeze it. But not in one big lump in a container or a freezer bag. Freeze it in a way that makes for quicker freezer to "dinner's ready status."

Use an ice tray. Pour your left over sauce into the individual spaces and put in your freezer (make sure you put it in there level so you don't end up with a mess) and after a couple of hours you can remove the cubes from the tray and place in a freezer bag. Since they're individually frozen you won't end up with a big glob of sauce.

Now you have a quick go to for dinner. All you have to do is throw the individual cubes into a pan or the microwave and they'll melt quickly and in the portion size you want. You can also add to your bag of sauce cubes so there's no waste!

Smartness!!
