A Taste From Taylor: Oven Fried Chicken Tenders

A new addition to my blog will be some sure fire recipes from the pickiest kid in town!

Today Taylor found a Betty Crocker recipe online and we started there. A few tweaks at the suggestion of Hot Mama and this chicken pleased the kids and parents alike.

What you need:
1 package chicken breast tenders
2/3 cup buttermilk
1 cup corn flakes cereal
1 cup Bisquick mix (or flour)
1 package dry ranch dressing mix
A few shakes of garlic salt and pepper
Cooking spray

Heat the oven to 400. Cover baking sheet with foil for easy clean up and spray with cooking spray.

In a shallow dish pour in buttermilk and add chicken breast tenders into dish coating in the buttermilk. Set aside.

In a large resealable zip bag place the corn flakes inside, seal the bag and crush until cereal is fine using a rolling pin. Add the Bisquick, a few shakes of garlic salt and pepper, and the dry ranch dressing mix to the cereal crumbs and combine.

Remove the chicken pieces from the buttermilk and add them to the dry mixture inside the bag. Seal the bag and shake, shake, shake. Discard the buttermilk.

Remove the coated chicken pieces from the bag and place on the baking sheet. Spray the coated chicken pieces with the cooking spray ( this will help with browning). Bake 20-25 minutes - chicken should be lightly browned.

Serve with your favorite sides. These chicken tenders are great just as they are or with a dipping sauce like BBQ, ranch, honey mustard or whatever you fancy!

An easy and fun meal to make together and eat together!

Try it!
